At it’s beginning it is used to sell computers and electronics, since then it number of selling items expanded into many other categories (Computers, Electronics, Books, Videos, Music, etc. ). Initially the company sold items below cost and intended to make up the losses "from the sale of advertising and ancillary services like warranties and equipment leases." In it’s first full year, 1998, Buy.com sold $111 million worth of goods and services, beating the record for most first-year sales of any company.

Cduniverse.com is a E-commerce site which sells Cd’s and Dvd’s of Music, Movies and Games. The whole site is arranged and designed in a very attractive way to attract customers. They have collection of wide range of Cd’s and Dvd’s. Transaction process is easy and the site is not complicatedly designed, so the site is smooth and easy to navigate around. They do have a search option, using which, customers can easily search for specific product they want to buy. This site also divide their products into different categories, so using the categories on the left side of the site, users can browse the category they like and choose from different items. Another special feature, on the left side of the side, they listed the top best selling of their products and also list of new and future releases.

These sites are attractive and easy to use, that is the sites are impressive, however, I will discuss in this unit about the site abebooks.com. Now I will look at this site in detail and pass comment on my findings.
